| From the first Dinky and Lucky clung to each other. |

| They were nearly ever separated but continued to follow each other, exploring, tasting and otherwise exploring their world. |
Dinky would not allow any human to come near him in the beginning. He was afraid. He reared and bit anyone who tried to come into his space. 
Everyone, but little Sarah. Sarah helped teach Dinky it was safe to socialize with humans though it was many months before he trusted.Sarah had a way with Dinky and it was with her he felt most comfortable, while at the stable.
Still shy of human's, Dinky continued to be playful, trusting and comfortable with his fellow nurse mare foals.
